Second week of Football Practice and Inservice

We are starting to get settled in at home and still opening boxes (there will never be an end to the boxes).  It is kind of like Christmas cause you never know what you might find.  Practices are going well in spite of the intense heat.  It was a nice morning with an east wind blowing at 10 to 15 miles per hour.  I really am enjoying life in Nashville and Mineral Springs where we are living in a rent house the only one that was available when we began looking for a place to move into.  People are very warm and friendly.  We placed membership at the Mineral Springs Church of Christ Sunday morning.  It is nice having the building less than 5 minutes from the house.  I got to go with the youth group yesterday down to Texarkana to the movie theater where we saw the Sorcerer's Apprentice with Nicholas Cage.  Very Entertaining and clean.  Coach Perry is great to work for and the other assistants are great guys that work hard.  We are slowly but surely getting things worked out with terminology and scheme.  It is going to be a good year.  The school teachers and administration have been great to work with and for and have really made me feel welcome.  I am just anxious to get school started and start working with the kids. It is time for bed, good night!

  1. Bed at 7:10? I wish I could go to bed that early...better yet, I wish your son was home that early. Glad to hear you are doing good. Hope to see you all soon! :D

  2. 7:10 Mexican time = 1:23am. Things just take a little longer here (unless you're on the throne (or being thrown)). I want to see that movie. Seems that we have a family affair with the Cage going on. We are excited to see your team play. Love you.
